Contract / Project Manager

Salary negotiable – dependent upon qualifications and experience

Fone-Alarm Installations Ltd, a Licensed Principle Contractor for Network Rail requires a Contract / Project Manager.

Work will be in the railway infrastructure environment, mainly platforms and stations, and may include shifts and travel. Some working away may be required. A full UK driving license is essential. A vehicle will be provided. Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.

Responsibilities.

To liaise with the client to establish a detailed scope of works, identify objectives and develop a project implementation plan. Organize site surveys and communicate the information to our drawing office. Co-ordinate internally and externally all contract deliverables. To be able to review and price tender documentation. Exercise financial control over the contract. Hold regular contract progress meetings with staff and clients. Comply with the requirements of the HSE and all relevant railway standards. To ensure the contract is completed within agreed timescales and budget.

Qualifications

Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management qualification is required. An 18th Edition Electrical Qualification is essential.

JIB Gold card, City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, AM2, NICEIC Qualified Supervisor would be an advantage.

Experience and Competencies required.

·        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an electrical discipline.

·        Experienced in managing people and liaising professionally with clients.

·        The ability to produce quality documentation and drawings to deliver the project.

·        Production of Method Statements, Task Briefs and Work Package Plans

·        Collation and production of O&M documentation

·        Familiar with Network Rail standards and processes e.g. Landlords Consent, GRIP, KPI’s

·        A sound understanding of contract budgets, planning programs and CDM implementation.

·        Experience of PQQ and tendering processes.

·        A full understanding of Microsoft Excel/Word/Project/Outlook/Office

·        Qualified in Construction and Safety accreditations e.g. CITB/IOSH/NEBOSH/SMSTS

Office Administrator

Part -time office administrator required for a supplier of customer information, CCTV and public-address systems to the railway industry, based in Reigate, Surrey.

The role will suit someone who is self-motivated and eager to learn, with a determination to achieve targets and meet deadlines. Whilst experience within an administration role would be highly advantageous, full training will be provided.

Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

The hours are 9:00 – 2:00 Monday to Friday, the starting salary is £12,500 - £13,750. We are a short walk from Reigate train station/town centre with amble free parking for all staff. Immediate start.

Key duties

  • Administration of the vehicle fleet, including booking of services and MOTs

  • Arranging staff training and keeping training records up to date.

  • Liaising with project managers to produce site documentation

  • Administration of maintenance call outs - including logging and allocating faults and monthly reporting.

  • General filing

  • Other Ad Hoc Duties
