GTR - Govia Thameslink Railway
Fone Alarm Installations are proud to announce we are GTR’s ‘Preferred’ CIS Installation Company as well as GTR’s Communications Maintainers. Since February 2012 FAI have been working on multiple communications & electrical projects for GTR; this includes the Ticket Counter Induction Loops, CIS, PA, Radio Public Address enhancements Ticket Vending Machines (TVM’s) & Solar Powered GSM Help Points. We recently completed CIS installs from West Hampstead to Bedford providing new CIS on platform extensions, we are currently delivering CIS and PA enhancement on stations between Finsbury Park and Cambridge.

London Midland Trains
We have been working with London Midland continually since 2004, when it was known as Centro. FAI has delivered major CIS/PA replacement schemes around Birmingham, West Midlands and the West Coast Main Line (South).

Completed installations include providing new CIS and PA equipment, Help Points, Ticket Vending Machines and Smart Card Validators at numerous stations.

Arriva Trains Wales
Our working relationship with Arriva Trains Wales goes back to the early 1990’s where we originally installed CIS at Cardiff Central Station and a small number of stations on the Valley Lines. This was the pilot scheme for Project Inform Cymru on behalf of Wales and West, which lead to a Design and Delivery scheme of CIS, PA and Help Points on stations in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Gloucester and Wales. We have delivered to Arriva Trains Wales various CIS, PA and CCTV schemes, including the Arriva Trains Wales NSIP CIS Installations at 150 stations.

Network Rail
Network Rail awarded FAI the Southern CIS CRT Replacement project for the replacement of old Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) technology for LED and TFT display equivalent.  The programme covers 44 stations between London and Brighton and along the South Coast.  On completion the Southern Network will have new visual displays at all stations.

FAI are involved in the Concentrator Life Extension Project at Guildford and Feltham. The current Telephone Concentrators are life expired, the new Basingstoke ROC will not be operational until 2018, therefore we have modified the current Telephone Concentrators for an extended working life to save the costs of replacing existing for new.

Network Rail awarded to FAI the East Anglia Level Crossing Telephone Renewals Contract, for the purpose of upgrading operational AHB telephony sites to PETS and KETS, which includes supply, installation and testing of both KETS and PETS telephone systems.

In partnership with Kestrel Telecom, we provide a Network Rail and London Underground type approved Telephone Concentrator for signal post and level crossing telephones.

We have completed the upgrade of the integration of Automated PA interfaced to existing amplifier systems on 124 Southeastern stations; this system now provides clients with automated controlled speech for train information.

We are the CIS and PA maintainers for Southeastern stations.
