Fone-Alarm Installations Ltd. FAI, was formed in 1978 to serve the Rail Industry. The head office in Reigate is within easy reach of the M25 and with satellite offices in the UK, national cover is available. The Company's primary aim is to provide customers with a first class, fully integrated installation service offering an extensive range of security and communications products to include Public Address, Radio Public Address, CCTV, Customer Information and Access Systems.
We at Fone-Alarm pride ourselves on the quality and diverse range of services offered to our customers. We provide design, production, supply, installation, contract management and maintenance for all aspects of the above products. Training is provided at our Reigate training centre or on site as required. Being flexible, FAI will undertake small jobs to large turnkey projects, where a complete system can be delivered to the customer.
In our varied services we take satisfaction in being able to deliver on time and within budget, to our extensive client base within the "travelling public" environment. Our dedicated staff has completed major projects for Network Rail, Train Operating Companies, London Underground, Metronet and Tube Lines. Outside the railways we have undertaken contracts on the Channel Tunnel Terminal, Bus Stations, Shopping Centres and for Local Authorities.
The professional approach which has become synonymous with the name FAI is confirmed by the award of the Network Rail Principal Contractor Licence, our registration with British Standards Institute to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and accreditation to the NICEIC as an Approved Electrical Contractor. FAI is also Link-Up approved for communications and security services. Each employee operates on a Logbook system, itemising experience and training. Licenses are also held for aspects of work for which they have been trained.
Maintenance is also an area in which FAI has gained an enviable reputation with contracts for the entire network in Wales for Arriva Trains Wales and various locations in The Midlands.
FAI produces Radio Microphone systems operating widely on London Underground and stations on Network Rail, this enables station staff to broadcast anywhere on a platform or concourse area without being dependant on a fixed microphone. A further development of this system provides Solar Powered Radio Public Address offering a completely independent system with no expensive cabling or platform routes. An Induction Loop Driver can be incorporated in this system to provide information for the Hearing Impaired.
With Network Rail type approval and a joint venture with Kestrel FAI are supplying the FAI-Kestrel Hawk Telephone Concentrator. The Hawk, a success with major sales, is a compact easily installed, competitively priced telephone switching system ranging from 4 to 60 lines with a single HMI (Human Machine Interface) in the form of either a Touch Screen or Key and Lamp unit.
All systems supplied by FAI are offered with full training from Operator to Installation and finally Maintenance. Second and Third level assistance is available giving the customer complete satisfaction, knowing that they can depend on total support.
